Start from the centre of Tebay start the day by winding your way around and between the M6, the West Coast Mainline and the River Lune down to the roman fort at Low Borrowbridge. Then head into Borrowdale (no, the other one) and head up to Whinfell Beacon before dropping down to cross the River Mint and rturning to Burneside.

Transport. Busses to Tebay (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays) regular trains from Burneside to kenal/ Oxenholme.
