Start from Lindale Village centre and climb up through the woods to Hampsfell, and the hospice. Then dropping down into Cartmel village. Leave the village via the racecourse, and head vaguely north-westish over Grassgarth heights before dropping down to the River Leven (Windermere’s waste waterpip) and ending at the village of Greenodd.

Transport. Train to Grange. X6 bus (or walk) to Lindale. Then X6 bus from Greenodd to Ulverston and the train out.
